Filed an RTI, Representation, and PIL  in the Karnataka High Court for the Bangalore Peripheral Ring Road

 

The Karnataka Pollution Board issued an order on 31st August to hold online public consultation for the Bangalore PRR. This left out many without internet and technology access.

Our PIL asked for the 23 September consultation to be cancelled and other more accessible mediums to be used once COVID is lifted.

22-Page Detailed Letter to the MOEFCC to Withdraw the Draft EIA2020 Notification

 

Drafted by the Jindal Global Law School Legal Aid Clinic and signed by law college students and clinics from across the country. The letter included a detailed break-up of the draft along with suggestions for each shortcoming, supported by legal research and cases. You can read the letter HERE.

The Yugma Environmental Justice Clinic is a collective of law students across India working on legal solutions to achieve environmental justice. It aims to do so by (and not limited to):

  • Engaging in litigation

  • Filing representations

  • Policy research and advocacy

  • Engaging in ground-level discourse i.e legal rights and mechanisms (filing an RTI for example) awareness and campaigns.
