The Central Government has been using the Covid-19 lockdown period as an opportunity to take steps which further deepen the Environmental and Agrarian crises in India to benefit their capitalist friends at any cost. Farmers' issues are also ecological issues. Therefore there is a growing sense of solidarity between environmental groups and farmer organizations. This discussion highlighted the deep inter-linkages between farming and ecological issues.
Speakers: Medha Patkar (National Alliance of People's Movements - NAPM), Devinder Sharma (Distinguished food and trade policy analyst, writer, and researcher.)
